WPS Test -- Part V
This quiz was prepared by the Society of American Florists (SAF) for you and is
reprinted with SAF permission. This test is difficult - as is the real inspection.
Note: In answering the following questions, you are to assume that each question applies to pesticide
applications in a greenhouse (rather than to pesticide applications in an open field).
1. What information must be posted in the same central location as the pesticide safety poster, and how long must it be posted?
- A. Employers must post, for at least 15 days after the end of the REI or for at least 15 days after the end of the application if no REI is required on the label, the location and description of the treated area; the product name, EPA registration number, and active ingredient, the date and time of the application, and the Restricted Entry Interval.
- B. Employers must post, for at least 30 days after the end of the REI or for at least 30 days after the end of the application if no REI is required on the label, the location and description of the treated area; the product name, EPA registration number, and active ingredient, the date and time of the application, and the Restricted Entry Interval.
- C. Employers must post a permanent sign stating that pesticides are used on the premises and providing safety information to workers about pesticide safety, but other details can just be made available to employees if they ask.
- D. Employers must post application information one week in advance of any pesticide application, so that employees can seek further information if they so desire.
- E. Both B and D are correct.
2. As to your employees' Personal Protection Equipment (PPE):
