POINSETTIA TRIALS


Three Ohio companies, Diefenbacher in Cincinnati, Maple Lee in Delaware, and Lakewood in Toledo, are growing samples of 90+ poinsettia cultivars to be shown between 1:00 and 5:00 PM the following dates:

Sample plants from each location will be taken to the OSU Horticulture and Crop Science Department to be shown to growers on January 13, 1999.

At 3:30 PM in each location, there will be a presentation by the grower of the poinsettias followed by discussion by the participants.

These trials featuring 90+ cultivars, are organized by the OFA Extension Committee, OSU Extension, and co-sponsored by the Cincinnati Flower Grower Assoc., the Greater Cleveland Flower Grower Assoc., the Toledo Area Flower and Vegetable Growers Assoc., the Central Ohio Flower Growers Assoc. and the East Central Ohio Flower Growers Assoc., and the Dummen, Ecke Ranch, Fischer USA, and Oglevee companies.
