TRANSPLANT WORKSHOP. (At the 5th National Symposium on Stand Establishment Conference). Saturday, May 31, 1997. 1 - 5 pm. This workshop will attempt to launch an international working group in transplant research/extension. It will begin the process of standardizing terms, developing a repository for more collaboration and exchange of ideas. Topics: Media; Containers; Germination; Irrigation; Nutrition; Environmental Modification; Height Control; Roots; and Age of Transplants.
OFA SHORT COURSE. July 12 - 16, 1997. Cincinnati, OH. The Ohio International Floral Short Course trade show keeps growing. With 730 booths, it will have 29 more booths this year. Another sold-out year! The Trade show runs July 13 - 15. In addition, the Short Course (July 12 - 16) will have 128 speakers for 163 educational presentations plus educational tours. This event will be held in the Cincinnati Convention Center. Programs are available by calling 614-487-1117. Last year, 7,000 people participated in this event.
