Turn in unwanted pesticides in April 1998. Date and location not finalized. Counties slated for April disposal are: Wayne, Holmes, Coshocton, Stark, Tuscarawas, Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Carroll, Harrison, and Jefferson. Sponsored by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, local, state and federal agencies and associations.
Pesticides will be turned in at a central collection point. There will be no cost to participants and no one will be held accountable for any banned pesticides they turn in. Information is kept confidential. Any business having pesticides (farmers, landscapers, golf courses, etc) should fill out the registration a form. To get the form call ODA at 614- 728-6987 or contact your local OSU Extension Office. Only preregistered pesticides will be accepted at the collection site. Forms must be received before March 20, 1998.
