Dr. Lindquist RetiresOn May 31, after 32 years of service to the Ohio State University/OARDC, Dr. Richard Lindquist has retired. He still will be very busy as an OSU Professor Emeritus and working as a west coast Technical Services Manager for Olympic Horticultural Products. Dr. Lindquist received his M.S and Ph.D. from Kansas State University in 1967 and 1969 respectively. In 1969 he started working in the Department of Entomology, The Ohio State University/OARDC as an Assistant Professor. In 1982, he became full professor and in 1992 Associate Chairperson. His areas of research included the biology and management of insects and mites affecting floricultural and greenhouse vegetable crops. As an Extension Specialist he focused on integrated pest management, biological control, pesticide application equipment and methods. His contribution to the Floriculture industry is very well known through his active participation in many educational activities both at the state and national levels. Dr. Lindquist, thank you for all those years of hard work and good luck in this new phase of your life. |
