We learned that some greenhouse growers in northern and central Ohio were visited by Ohio Department of Agriculture inspectors. These purpose of these visits was to see how greenhouse growers were complying with the Worker Protection Standards. Our ODA contact confirmed that during Summer and Fall, Department inspectors will continue with visits to all types of agricultural production facilities. Our ODA contact also stressed that at this point, their main objective is to find out how the ODA can further educate growers and assist them in compliance. Growers whose compliance is found lacking may be inviting future visits. . .
