Pesticide Licence Does your Private or Commercial Pesticide Licence expire in 2003? Have you received notice from the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) or your local extension office about your credits already obtained? Well you should have by now ! Most growers are Private applicators and will need one hour of CORE training plus a half hour in licensed categories i.e Private 6 Greenhouse plus time in any other categories to make a total of 3 hours. Commercial licence holders need 5 hours. Now is the time to get those credits and you can find out where classes are being offered by contacting your local OSU Extension office or by simply checking the Internet at http://pested.osu.edu under recertification classes. Remember, you might have signed in for recertification time at the OFA Short Course or local grower meetings. That information will be noted on the notice you should have gotten from the ODA this past month should your license be expiring in 2003.
