
Calendar of Events2002 Northern Plant Symposium. August 15 and 16 2002. Tours on August 14. Radissson Hotel, 35000 Curtis Boulevard, Eastlake, Ohio 44095 This exciting biennial conference is designed to be an intensive, yet practical review of the vast array of plant materials available for northern climates. This unique symposium will investigate plants that have been adapted to thrive in a wide variety of growing conditions with emphasis on new and superior plants for northern climates. Presentations by nationally recognized plants experts and optional tours on the first day will leave you with new insight into the future of horticulture. What will be discussed? Plants hardy to the climate of the northern Unites States. Topics will include: Incorporating roses, Natives, Asian plant collections, Crabapples, Plant selection, New perennials, plant evaluations, etc., etc. Registration: $175 per person for the two day conference. Optional tour fee of $40 per person. Optional banquet on Thursday evening, $30 per person.
