New Floriculture Agent


OSU Extension, Hamilton County, welcomes a new Horticulture Agent - Dave Dyke. Currently a member of the Extension Nursery Landscape and Turf Team, he will join the Floriculture Industry Roundtable of Ohio. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in greenhouse production and management from previous extension agent positions for commercial ornamentals in North Carolina, and Geauga and Lawrence Counties, Ohio. He also taught vocational horticulture. Dave also brings many years of management and marketing experience. He owned a large pick-your-own berry farm and wholesale small fruit nursery in Washington County, OH, for many years and founded and managed a manufacturing company based on 3 patents he received.

He will be working closely with the commercial floriculture industry in Hamilton County to provide technical and marketing assistance. Dave will also work with Joe Boggs and Bobbie Strangfeld (Master Gardener Coordinator) to further expand the horticulture program in the county.
